Wildlife in this quiet national park includes elephant, giraffe, buffalo, Burchell's zebra, sable, eland, Liechtenstein's hartebeest, lion, leopard, spotted hyena, jackal and many species of birds and more. Yao can also find yellow baboons near Kiboga, at the southern end of the park.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : SAFARI PROGRAM

  SAFARI PROGRAM.
  DAY 1:
   Pick-up from hotel at 5.30AM to Zanzibar ferry terminal. Catch a ferry to Dar (approx. 1 hour).
   Catch a train from Dar es Salaam train station and departure at 9. 30AM for Mikumi.
   Pick up at Morogoro train station with a 4x4 safari Jeep and drive towards Mikumi. Stop for lunch in Msolwa, and then start Game Drive.
   Embarking on an exciting afternoon and evening game drive, exploring the park’s diverse wildlife until the sun sets. Your overnight stay awaits at a comfortable campsite or lodge, where a delightful dinner will be served.
   Dinner and overnight stay at Mikumi resort or Morio Motel inside the park.
  
  DAY 2:
   After an early breakfast, enjoy a sunrise Game drive ride again in Mikumi National Park until approximately 11:30 AM as you head out of the park.
   Then return to Morogoro to catch train to Dar es Salaam
   Lunch break in Msolwa
   Then transfer to Dar es Salaam ferry terminal
   Evening ferry back to Zanzibar
   Pick up from the ferry terminal and Return to hotel at around 5.00PM.
