Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival in Nairobi / Nanyuki (Pre-Trek)

  Afternoon/Evening: Arrive in Nairobi. It's highly recommended to travel to Nanyuki (a town near the Sirimon Gate) the day before your trek begins to allow for some rest and to shorten the travel time on Day 1.
  
  Accommodation: Stay at a hotel or guesthouse in Nanyuki. Your tour operator might arrange a briefing session and equipment check this evening.
  
  Nairobi/Nanyuki to Old Moses Camp (Judmaier Camp)
  
  Morning (7:00 AM - 8:00 AM): Your guide will pick you up from your hotel in Nanyuki (or Nairobi, if starting directly).
  
  Drive to Sirimon Gate (2,650m): Drive to the Sirimon Park Gate. This drive takes about an hour from Nanyuki. Upon arrival, complete park entry formalities and meet your porters and cook.
  
  Trek to Old Moses Camp (3,300m): Begin your trek! The trail winds uphill through beautiful montane forest, which gradually transitions into heathland. This section is approximately 9 km and takes about 3-4 hours. You'll gain around 650m in altitude, which is good for initial acclimatization.
  
  Habitat: Montane Forest, Bamboo, Hagenia, Heather zones. Keep an eye out for wildlife like buffaloes, elephants (though less common to see on the trail), and various bird species.
  
  Afternoon/Evening: Arrive at Old Moses Camp. Settle into your mountain hut. Enjoy dinner prepared by your cook. The evening is for rest and briefing for the next day.
  
  Meals: Lunch, Dinner
  
  Accommodation: Old Moses Camp Hut (basic but comfortable)

• Day 2 : Old Moses Camp to Shipton's Camp

  Morning (7:00 AM - 8:00 AM): After breakfast, begin your trek.
  
  Ascent through Moorland to Shipton's Camp (4,200m): Today is a longer and more challenging day, but incredibly scenic. You'll ascend roughly 900m over about 14 km, taking 6-8 hours. The trail goes through the unique Mackinder Valley, known for its surreal vegetation of giant lobelias and groundsels, which are endemic to East African mountains. The landscape becomes more open and rugged as you gain altitude.
  
  Habitat: Moorland zone, alpine.
  
  Afternoon/Evening: Arrive at Shipton's Camp, nestled directly below the jagged peaks of Batian and Nelion. This camp offers stunning views. Enjoy dinner and prepare for the early morning summit push. Get your gear ready, drink plenty of fluids, and try to get some rest.
  
  Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
  
  Accommodation: Shipton's Camp Hut

• Day 3 : Shipton's Camp to Point Lenana Summit & Descend to Sirimon Gate / Nairobi

  Early Morning (2:00 AM - 3:00 AM): Wake up for an extremely early start. This is summit day!
  
  Summit Push to Point Lenana (4,985m): Begin the strenuous ascent in the dark, using headlamps. The path involves steep scree slopes and some rocky scrambling, especially in the final stretch. The goal is to reach Point Lenana in time for sunrise (around 6:00 AM - 6:30 AM). The views from the summit are breathtaking, with panoramic vistas of the surrounding peaks, glaciers, and potentially even Kilimanjaro on a clear day. This ascent takes approximately 3-4 hours.
  
  Descent to Shipton's Camp (4,200m): After enjoying the sunrise and taking photos, begin your descent back to Shipton's Camp (about 1.5-2 hours) for a well-deserved breakfast.
  
  Descent to Old Moses Camp (3,300m): After breakfast, continue your descent further down the Sirimon route to Old Moses Camp (about 3-4 hours). You'll have lunch here.
  
  Final Descent to Sirimon Gate & Drive to Nairobi: From Old Moses Camp, it's a final descent (about 2-3 hours) back to the Sirimon Gate. Your vehicle will be waiting to transfer you back to Nanyuki or directly to Nairobi.
  
  Arrival in Nairobi: You will arrive back in Nairobi in the late afternoon/early evening (around 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM), depending on road conditions and the speed of your descent.
  
  Meals: Breakfast, Lunch
  
  Accommodation: Not included (usually back in Nairobi)
