  After a hearty breakfast at St. Catherine Lodge, your journey begins with a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park, renowned for its vast elephant herds and ancient baobab trees. The park spans 2,850 square kilometers (1,100 square miles) and is home to an impressive array of wildlife, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, zebras, wildebeest, and over 550 bird species, such as the striking yellow-collared lovebird and the stately kori bustard.

  Following breakfast at the lodge, you will depart for Lake Manyara National Park, a picturesque park famed for its tree-climbing lions and the shimmering alkaline lake that attracts thousands of flamingos. Covering 330 square kilometers (127 square miles), the park’s diverse habitats include groundwater forests, grassy plains, and the lake itself, supporting a rich variety of wildlife such as elephants, hippos, blue monkeys, and over 400 bird species.

The crater, measuring 260 square kilometers (100 square miles) and 600 meters (1,968 feet) deep, hosts an incredible density of wildlife, including lions, elephants, black rhinos, flamingos, and large herds of zebras and wildebeest.
