This 6-day safari is designed to give you an immersive experience of the Great Migration’s calving season in the Ndutu region of the Serengeti, where thousands of wildebeests give birth, attracting an abundance of predators. You will also explore Tarangire National Park, known for its elephants and baobabs, the Ngorongoro Crater, and Lake Manyara National Park, offering diverse landscapes and exceptional wildlife encounters.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival in Arusha

  Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK), you will be met by our representative and transferred to the hotel in Arusha. This charming accommodation provides a peaceful setting to relax after your journey. Depending on your arrival time, you may explore Arusha town or simply unwind at the lodge. A delicious dinner will be served as you prepare for your adventure.

• Day 2 : Tarangire National Park

  After breakfast, you will depart for Tarangire National Park, home to huge elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and a variety of wildlife. The park’s lifeline, the Tarangire River, attracts animals year-round, including lions, giraffes, zebras, and leopards. You will enjoy a picnic lunch within the park before continuing your game drive. In the late afternoon, you will head to Eileen’s Tree Inn in Karatu, where you will have a delicious dinner and a restful overnight stay.

• Day 3 : South Serengeti Ndutu – Calving Season Begins

  After breakfast, you will drive towards the Ndutu region in the southern Serengeti, where the Great Migration’s calving season takes place. From December to March, thousands of wildebeests give birth on the open plains, creating a spectacular wildlife phenomenon. This region is a prime spot for predator activity, as lions, cheetahs, and hyenas take advantage of the vulnerable newborns. You will enjoy a picnic lunch and continue game viewing until evening. Your overnight stay will be at Serengeti Heritage Ndutu, a luxury tented camp offering an authentic safari experience.

• Day 4 : Full Day in South Serengeti Ndutu

  You will start the day with an early morning game drive, the best time to witness predators hunting. The open plains of Ndutu provide a dramatic setting as cheetahs chase prey, lions stalk herds, and hyenas scavenge. After a bush breakfast, you will continue exploring the vast landscapes, following the migration patterns and enjoying the breathtaking scenery. A picnic lunch will be served in the wild, followed by an afternoon game drive. In the evening, you will return to Serengeti Heritage Ndutu for dinner and another night under the African sky.

• Day 5 : Ndutu to Ngorongoro Crater

  After breakfast, you will depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, arriving at the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This vast volcanic caldera is home to an incredible concentration of wildlife, including the Big Five (lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard). You will descend into the crater for a game drive, spotting hippos in the swamps, flamingos on the lake, and an array of animals on the crater floor. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed in a scenic spot within the crater. In the afternoon, you will ascend and drive to Eileen’s Tree Inn for dinner and overnight.

• Day 6 : Lake Manyara National Park – Return to Arusha

  On the final day, you will visit Lake Manyara National Park, a diverse park known for its tree-climbing lions, large troops of baboons, and flamingos along the lake’s edge. The park’s lush forests, open grasslands, and Rift Valley escarpment create a picturesque setting for a game drive. You will enjoy a picnic lunch before driving back to Arusha, where you will be dropped off at your hotel or the airport, marking the end of your incredible safari adventure.
