Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Nairobi 鈥� Aberdare National Park

  Pick-up in the morning at 8.00am and drive North towards Aberdare National Park. Aberdare National Park is characterized by picturesque, steep forested ravines and open moorland. The park provides a habitat for elephants, black rhinos, leopards, spotted hyenas, olive baboons, black and white colobus monkeys, buffalos, warthogs and bushbucks among others. Rare sightings include those of the Giant Forest hog, Mountain Bongo, golden cat, serval cat, African wild cat, African civet cat and the blue duiker. Visitors can indulge in picnics, trout fishing in the rivers and camping in the moorlands. Bird viewing is rewarding, with over 250 species of birds in the park, including the Jackson鈥檚 Francolin, Sparrow hawks, goshawks, eagles, sunbirds and plovers. You will arrive at the Aberdare Country Club for lunch. The rest of the afternoon will be free at leisure at the golf club or at the clubs swimming pool. Dinner and Overnight at The Ark Lodge.

• Day 2 : The Ark Lodge

  Here you will leave all your vehicle to join a shuttle and proceed with an overnight bag to The Ark. There are three 鈥渢ree hotels鈥� in Central Kenya and the Ark is regarded as the finest, with each room having a viewing balcony overlooking the watering holes. There are resident elephants, many grazing ungulates and the Cantankerous Cape Buffalo. Days here are definitely sweater cool and for the night鈥檚 cold, be prepared with warm clothing. Dinner and overnight at The Ark Lodge.
• Day 3 : Nairobi

  This day after your breakfast you will bid the Ark good bye and proceed to Aberdares Country Club. Here you will pick up your luggage and exchange vehicles and proceed on to Nairobi where you will be dropped at your residence.
