Yangon has a tropical monsoon climate with three distinct seasons:

• Cool Season (November to February): The most pleasant time to visit Kandawgyi Lake. Temperatures range between 20°C to 30°C (68°F to 86°F) with low humidity.
• Hot Season (March to May): Temperatures can reach above 35°C (95°F). Early morning and late afternoon visits are recommended during this season.
• Rainy Season (June to October): The lake looks lush and green, but rain showers are frequent, especially in the afternoons. An umbrella is a must if visiting during this time.
