Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Pre-trek 6 Days Kilimanjaro trek Marangu route

  At Njofu Expedition, if you鈥檝e chosen our optional airport transfer service, we鈥檒l ensure a smooth pick-up from Kilimanjaro Airport or Arusha Airport and take you to your hotel in Arusha.
  
  Before the trek begins, we鈥檒l conduct a pre-trek briefing at your hotel in Arusha. We recommend arriving at least a day before the trek to allow time for this essential preparation. During the briefing, we鈥檒l review your equipment and assist you with renting any additional gear you may need.

• Day 2 : Marangu Gate to Mandara Hut

  After breakfast, you鈥檒l be driven to the Marangu Gate, where you鈥檒l complete your registration and begin your ascent with Njofu Expedition. You鈥檒l hike through the vibrant rainforest and arrive at the Mandara Hut (2,700m) in the late afternoon. Enjoy an overnight stay at the hut.

• Day 3 : Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut

  After breakfast, we at Njofu Expedition will guide you as you leave the rainforest behind and trek through the heather and moorland zone, enjoying breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. In the late afternoon, you鈥檒l arrive at the Horombo Hut (3,720m), where you鈥檒l rest and acclimatize to the altitude. Overnight at the hut.
  Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.

• Day 4 : Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut

  After breakfast, with Njofu Expedition, you鈥檒l proceed with your ascent through the alpine desert zone, passing the 鈥渓ast water point鈥� at 4,200m. In the afternoon, you鈥檒l reach Kibo Hut (4,700m), where you will enjoy an early dinner and rest in preparation for your summit attempt. Overnight stay at the hut.

• Day 5 : Kibo Hut to Uhuru Peak to Horombo Hut

  With Njofu Expedition, you鈥檒l be woken up at midnight and served a light breakfast before your summit attempt begins. You鈥檒l climb in the dark with headlamps, reaching Gilman鈥檚 Point (5,681m) just in time for sunrise. From there, you鈥檒l continue on to Uhuru Peak (5,895m), Africa鈥檚 highest point. After soaking in the breathtaking views, you鈥檒l descend to the Kibo Hut for a short rest before heading down to the Horombo Hut (3,720m) for the night. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.

• Day 6 : Horombo Hut to Marangu Gate to Moshi

  After breakfast, we at Njofu Expedition will guide you on your final descent to the Marangu Gate, where you鈥檒l sign out and receive your well-deserved certificate of achievement. Following this, we will transfer you back to your hotel in Moshi for a celebratory dinner and an overnight stay.
