Day 1 : Arrive at Phuntsholing – Transfer to Thimphu

Itinerary Highlights:
Upon arrival at Phuntsholing (Bhutan–India border), meet your Bhutanese tour representative from Ka Adventures.
Complete permit/immigration formalities and begin your scenic drive to Thimphu, Bhutan's capital.
En route enjoy views of dense forested hills, river valleys, and traditional roadside villages. Evening Free Time in Thimphu:
Visit Clock Tower Square and take a short walk in the local market for souvenirs and handicrafts. Overnight: Thimphu

Day 2 : Thimphu Local Sightseeing – Transfer to Punakha

Altitude: Thimphu – 2,320m | Dochula Pass – 3,100m | Punakha – 1,200m

Morning – Thimphu Sightseeing:
National Memorial Chorten – A serene stupa built in memory of the 3rd King; loved by locals.
Buddha Dordenma – 169-ft golden statue of Buddha with a panoramic view of Thimphu Valley.
Motithang Takin Preserve – See the rare Takin, Bhutan’s national animal.
Folk Heritage Museum or Simply Bhutan – Experience Bhutanese rural life, traditional houses & food.

Afternoon – Scenic Drive to Punakha:
Stop at Dochula Pass (3,100m) – 108 chortens surrounded by Himalayan views.
Descend into the fertile Punakha Valley.

Evening – Punakha Sightseeing:
Suspension Bridge – One of the longest in Bhutan, offering a scenic walk across the Mo Chhu River.
Punakha Dzong – Known as the “Palace of Great Happiness,” this 17th-century fortress is Bhutan's most beautiful dzong, located at the confluence of Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers. Overnight: Punakha

Morning Drive to Paro via Thimphu:
After breakfast, drive through beautiful mountain roads and return via Thimphu to Paro. Afternoon Paro Sightseeing:
Paro Rinpung Dzong – A 17th-century fortress-monastery with beautiful architecture and great views.
Nyamai Zampa Bridge – A traditional cantilever bridge beside the dzong.
Ta Dzong (National Museum) – Former watchtower now housing Bhutanese relics, masks, thangka paintings, and more.
Paro Town Exploration – Stroll through local markets, cafés, and souvenir shops. Evening Optional: Try a traditional hot stone bath (optional, additional cost).

Day 4 : Paro – Hike to Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest)

Altitude: Base – 2,600m | Tiger’s Nest – 3,120m
Hike Duration: Approx. 5 to 6 hours round trip

Hike Details:
After an early breakfast, drive to the base of Taktsang Monastery, Bhutan’s most iconic site.
Begin your hike through pine forests, prayer flags, and clear mountain air.
Visit the sacred Tiger’s Nest Monastery, built on a cliff where Guru Rinpoche meditated in the 8th century.
Option to rest and enjoy refreshments at the mid-way Taktsang Cafeteria.

Afternoon Visit:
Kyichu Lhakhang – One of the oldest temples in Bhutan, built in the 7th century by Tibetan King Songtsen Gampo.
Overnight: Paro
