This 5-day Kenya-Tanzania safari begins with your arrival in Nairobi, Kenya, where you’ll be transferred to a comfortable mid-range hotel such as Ibis Styles Nairobi Westlands or Sentrim Nairobi. Depending on your arrival time, you can either rest or explore a bit of Nairobi’s vibrant city life.

The next morning, you will take a domestic flight or road transfer to the legendary Maasai Mara National Reserve, one of Africa’s most famous wildlife sanctuaries. Here, you’ll stay in a well-reviewed mid-range camp or lodge like Mara Serena Safari Lodge or Ashnil Mara Camp. After settling in, enjoy your first afternoon game drive, spotting the Big Five and other incredible wildlife.

Day 3 is a full day of game drives in Maasai Mara, with morning and afternoon excursions led by your expert English-speaking guide. You’ll experience breathtaking savannah landscapes and abundant animals, including lions, elephants, cheetahs, and giraffes. You’ll spend another night at your lodge or camp, enjoying full board meals and the serene surroundings.

On Day 4, after an early morning game drive or breakfast, you’ll fly from Maasai Mara to Tanzania’s world-renowned Serengeti National Park. Transfers will take you to your accommodation, typically a mid-range lodge such as Seronera Wildlife Lodge or Kubu Kubu Tented Lodge. Spend the afternoon on a thrilling game drive exploring the Serengeti’s vast plains, home to large herds of wildebeests, zebras, and predators like lions and leopards.

Your final day begins with an early morning game drive in Serengeti, offering a chance to catch wildlife in the soft morning light. Afterwards, you will be transferred to the airstrip for a flight back to Nairobi, where you’ll connect with your international flight back to India or spend the night at a Nairobi hotel if your schedule requires it.

Throughout the trip, all park entry fees, accommodation, meals during safari days, domestic flights, transfers, and game drives in 4×4 vehicles with pop-up roofs are included. International flights, visas, travel insurance, and personal expenses are not included.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival to Nairobi, Kenya

  On Day 1, you will arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, Kenya. Upon arrival, a local safari representative will warmly welcome you and assist with your transfer to a comfortable mid-range hotel such as Ibis Styles Nairobi Westlands or Sentrim Nairobi. The drive from the airport to the hotel typically takes about 30 to 45 minutes, depending on traffic. After checking in, you’ll have time to freshen up and relax, recovering from your international journey. If your arrival time permits, you can choose to take a short guided city tour to experience some of Nairobi’s highlights, including visits to the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, the Giraffe Centre, or the Karen Blixen Museum. Alternatively, you can unwind at the hotel, enjoying its amenities like the pool or lounge. In the evening, you’ll have dinner either at the hotel or a nearby restaurant, preparing for your exciting early morning transfer to the Maasai Mara the next day. You’ll spend the night comfortably in Nairobi, resting up for the adventure ahead.

• Day 2 : Journey to Maasai Mara from Nairobi

  On Day 2, you’ll start early with a hearty breakfast at your Nairobi hotel before embarking on the journey to Maasai Mara National Reserve. Depending on your preference and schedule, you can either take a scenic domestic flight from Wilson Airport in Nairobi directly to Maasai Mara’s airstrip, which takes about an hour, or enjoy a road transfer lasting approximately 5 to 6 hours through beautiful Kenyan countryside dotted with small villages and acacia trees. Upon arrival at Maasai Mara, you’ll be warmly welcomed and transferred to your mid-range lodge or tented camp, such as Kambu Safari Lodge or Miliki Mara Camp, where you’ll check in and freshen up. After lunch, you will head out on your first afternoon game drive, giving you the exciting opportunity to spot the Big Five—lions, elephants, leopards, buffalo, and rhinos—along with a variety of other wildlife in their natural habitat. As the sun sets over the savannah, you’ll return to your lodge for dinner and a restful night, ready for more adventure in the days to come.

• Day 3 : Full Day Safari Experience in the Magnificent Maasai Mara Reserve

  Day 3 is dedicated to a full-day safari experience in the magnificent Maasai Mara National Reserve. After an early morning wake-up call, you’ll enjoy a warm breakfast at your lodge or camp—Mara Safari Lodge, Sidain Mara Camp, or a similar mid-range property—before setting off on your morning game drive. Early mornings are ideal for wildlife viewing, as many animals are most active before the midday heat. You’ll explore vast plains and rolling hills teeming with wildlife such as elephants, giraffes, zebras, cheetahs, and perhaps even a pride of lions on the hunt.
  
  Midday, you’ll return to your lodge for lunch and a short rest, or if you're feeling adventurous, opt for a packed picnic lunch to extend your time out in the reserve. In the afternoon, you'll embark on a second game drive, exploring a different region of the Mara. This is also a great time to spot predators preparing for the evening or catch hippos wallowing in the Mara River.
  
  For an optional, unforgettable experience, you can add a hot-air balloon safari early in the morning (extra cost), offering breathtaking aerial views of the reserve followed by a champagne bush breakfast.
  
  As the day winds down, you'll return to the lodge for a delicious dinner. Spend the evening around the campfire or enjoy a drink under the stars, reflecting on the incredible wildlife encounters of the day. You’ll overnight once again in the heart of the Maasai Mara.

• Day 4 : Cross the Border into Tanzania

  On Day 4, you’ll bid farewell to the Maasai Mara and cross the border into Tanzania to begin the second half of your safari in the legendary Serengeti National Park. After an early breakfast at your lodge, you’ll be transferred to the nearest airstrip—typically Keekorok or Ol Kiombo—for your scheduled light aircraft flight to the Serengeti. The flight offers stunning aerial views of the East African landscape and, if you're lucky, glimpses of migrating herds below. You’ll land at Seronera Airstrip in central Serengeti, where a Tanzanian safari guide will meet you and handle your entry procedures.
  
  Once inside Serengeti National Park, you’ll be transferred to your lodge or tented camp, such as Kubu Kubu Tented Lodge or Seronera Wildlife Lodge—both excellent mid-range options located in prime wildlife-viewing areas. After lunch and a bit of rest, you’ll head out for your first game drive in the Serengeti, famous for its endless plains and spectacular predator sightings. You’ll have a chance to see lions lounging under acacia trees, leopards draped over branches, herds of wildebeest, and elephants moving in the distance.
  
  After your afternoon of exploration, you’ll return to your lodge in time to enjoy a delicious dinner and relax under the vast Serengeti sky. The sounds of the African night—distant lion roars or the calls of hyenas—will lull you to sleep as you settle in for the night.

  Day 5 marks the final leg of your incredible East African safari adventure. You’ll begin the day early with a light breakfast at your lodge or camp—Kubu Kubu Tented Lodge, Seronera Wildlife Lodge, or a similar mid-range property—before setting out on a sunrise game drive in the Serengeti. Early morning is one of the best times for wildlife viewing, when predators like lions and hyenas are still active, and the golden light casts a magical glow over the landscape. This final drive gives you a last chance to spot any animals you may have missed, and to soak in the grandeur of the Serengeti one last time.
  
  After the game drive, you’ll return to the lodge to freshen up and enjoy a full breakfast. Then, depending on your flight schedule, you’ll be transferred to Seronera Airstrip for a domestic flight back to Nairobi, typically connecting through Arusha or Kilimanjaro Airport. Upon arrival at Wilson Airport. from there you will be assisted with your transfer for your international flight back to India, or to a Nairobi hotel if you're staying an extra night.
  
  Your journey concludes here, with unforgettable memories of Maasai Mara’s golden plains, Serengeti’s boundless horizons, and the majestic wildlife that brought it all to life.
