4 Nights / 5 Days
Embark on an unforgettable 5-day, 4-night journey from India to the heart of Kenya’s wildlife paradise—Lake Nakuru National Park. Your adventure begins on Day 1 with your departure from a major Indian city such as Delhi or Mumbai, flying to Nairobi, Kenya. Most flights are routed via the Middle East or East Africa with popular carriers like Emirates, Qatar Airways, or Kenya Airways. Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you’ll be greeted by a local representative and transferred to your hotel in Nairobi. Depending on your arrival time, you may opt for a brief city tour to explore Nairobi’s highlights or simply relax after your journey. Dinner and overnight stay are arranged at a comfortable hotel like Sarova Panafric or Eka Hotel.
On Day 2, after breakfast, you’ll drive approximately 3 to 4 hours to Lake Nakuru National Park, passing through the spectacular Great Rift Valley. Along the way, enjoy a scenic stop at a Rift Valley viewpoint for panoramic photos. You’ll check into a safari lodge such as Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge or Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge, located near the park. After lunch, embark on your first thrilling afternoon game drive, where you can spot flamingos lining the lake’s shores, endangered black and white rhinos, giraffes, buffalos, and possibly leopards and lions. The day ends with dinner and a peaceful overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 3 offers a full day of wildlife exploration at Lake Nakuru. Begin with an early morning game drive when animals are most active, followed by breakfast at the lodge. During the day, you can visit Baboon Cliff for stunning views of the lake or opt for a cultural village visit nearby. Another game drive in the afternoon allows you to discover more of the park’s diverse wildlife and bird species. The park is a bird lover’s paradise with over 400 species, including pelicans, cormorants, and kingfishers. All meals and your second night will be at the same lodge.
On Day 4, enjoy breakfast before checking out and driving back to Nairobi. En route, you may choose to stop at Lake Naivasha for an optional boat ride among hippos and birds, or visit Crescent Island for a unique walking safari. Upon arrival in Nairobi, have lunch and enjoy some time for shopping at the local Maasai Market for handcrafted souvenirs. Overnight accommodation is arranged at a hotel close to the airport for convenience, with dinner included.
Finally, on Day 5, after breakfast, you’ll be transferred to the airport to board your return flight to India. Depending on your flight time and airline, you may arrive the same day or early the next. This short but enriching journey offers a perfect blend of African wildlife, scenic beauty, and cultural experiences, making it a memorable getaway for nature and adventure lovers.
Your exciting journey to Kenya begins as you board your international flight from India to Nairobi, the capital city of Kenya. Most flights take around 10 to 12 hours, including a layover in a Middle Eastern or African hub such as Doha (Qatar), Dubai (UAE), or Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), depending on the airline. You are advised to take a night flight the previous day or an early morning departure to arrive in Nairobi by midday or evening.
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO), you’ll be met by our friendly local representative or guide holding a placard with your name. After immigration and customs formalities, you will be transferred in a private vehicle to your hotel in Nairobi, which is typically a 30–45 minute drive depending on traffic. Enjoy a welcome briefing and check-in at your hotel, Ibis style, 4-star hotel offering comfort and convenience.
After some time to rest and freshen up, you can choose to relax at the hotel or take part in an optional short city orientation tour. If time permits, you could visit nearby attractions such as the Nairobi National Museum, Giraffe Centre, or take a drive through Nairobi National Park for a mini safari experience. These are optional and can be added depending on your arrival time and energy levels.
Dinner is included at your hotel or a nearby restaurant offering international and local Kenyan cuisine. After dinner, return to the hotel for an overnight stay, preparing for the adventure ahead to Lake Nakuru the next day.
